Reason One: The Internet

The internet enables ANYONE to set up their “store” (website) for very little cost. You DON’T need to pay for a physical office or store. Your market is NOT restricted to just those people in your local community who happen to walk past your store. You can sell products or services to the WHOLE on-line world. It doesn’t matter WHO you are or WHERE you live.

Although it’s actually quite easy to do when someone shows you how, you do need some technical knowledge to be able to set up a commercial website that is capable of processing customer orders (or you need to pay someone else to do it for you).

And if you don’t get any traffic (visitors) to your website you won’t make any sales, no matter how good your website is. Again, it’s not that difficult to get traffic when someone shows you how, but it will take a little investment of time or money to get traffic.
